Today was a very hard day in the saddle. Legs are tired from the previous days, saddle sores are beginning to be a concern, and sleeping in a variety of motels, are all working together to make things challenging. This morning we had a rather sparse continental breakfast, no where near enough to sustain us for 67 more miles. Tomorrow we head to Tupelo, Miss, a distance of 80 miles. Tonight we ate at Dooey's Barbecue in Starkeville, a local landmark. The food was great!
Here are a few photos from today's trip We ate lunch at the site pictured here after turning off the Trace Natchez trail onto rt. 82, 15 miles from Starkeville.
There are no scheduled events tomorrow, but starting Monday we will have a full slate of meetings and presentations.
Thank you Fred, Teresa, Kay, Jeff and Christy, Pam, and Giff for following this blog. It helps to know people are watching.

Skip,
We are enjoying the photos and the narration. Get Bruce to get some more photos of you on the blog.
So is Bruce up front, in the back, or lost in another state?
See, if you were riding a recumbent, saddle sores wouldn't be an issue.
You and Bruce are tops.

Skip,
Bill Nye and his wife Marilyn have come down from Vancouver to see the 49ers take on the Patriots. We will be thinking of you at Candlestick as you head on for Tupelo. Wish I could join you for about 20 miles (certainly not 80). Our best to Bruce, and thanks for the blog. It's great.
Fred
Hi Skip!
Is Perry still with you? Enjoying the blog updates of your adventure. We would probably enjoy the food more than the grueling rides :-).

Your blog and the photos are great. Thanks for posting. As you are enjoying the fine foods in all those cool eateries, eat a bite or two for me.
Hey Skip,
Speaking of saddle sores!! I just want to know who does your hair? (to everyone, inside joke from years ago!!) Sounds like you are going great. Keep up the good work.
Love following your journey.
love, Dixie
