Gainesville, GA to Clemson, SC

Two words describe today, cold and windy. We were greeted with a temperature of 45 degrees when we departed today.

After a short ride of 4 miles we met at a local Methodist Church for a Sunday service and blood drive. Prior to the church service we talked to members of the local chapter of Life South.

As part of the service each team member briefly spoke to the congregation about their connection with the Five Points of Life. After the church service we adjourned to a separate room where we were introduced to another group of younger church members. Then we left to bike to Clemson.

The ride to Clemson consisted of one long hill after another, into a 20 mph headwind. It was a very challenging day on the bike for everyone.

Tomorrow is a down day for riding. We will spend the day meeting with various organizations, schools, and blood centers. The next day will see us bike to Aiken, SC, a ride of 90 miles. Hopefully by then the wind will have diminished and the temperature will have warmed up. I am ready for Florida and warmer temperatures.
