Hello from Mobile.
Breakfast today at 6:00AM, then wake-up ride at 7:30. Five of us toured residential Mobile for about 25 miles, rode a few hills, rode through Univ. of South Alabama, then back to motel to get ready for a team meeting at Mobile Life South Headquarters. Each of us were interviewed and videotaped. A trip DVD is being produced, covering all days and events.
After a very nice lunch we went to a local bike shop. I found the Hammer products that I use, bought a container of Perpetuem. Bruce is even going to try it!
Tonight we dine at a seafood restaurant overlooking Mobile Bay. Tomorrow we leave at 7:00AM for the battleship Alabama. A send off ceremony starts at 8:00, with several speakers and dignitaries. Then a ribbon is cut and we ride down the gangplank, off the ship. We will have a police escort all the way to the Misissippi border, approx. 30 miles. From then on we are on our own to Hattiesburg.
